A nightstand is useful for providing a convenient surface next to a bed for placing items such as a lamp, alarm clock, books, or a glass of water. It also offers storage space for personal items like medication, tissues, or electronic devices. Additionally, a nightstand can help to keep the bedroom organized and clutter-free by providing a designated spot for essential items within arm's reach while in bed. **

In my nightstand, I have a book that I am currently reading, a small notebook and pen for jotting down any thoughts or ideas that come to mind before bed, a bottle of water, and a small flashlight in case I need it during the night. I also keep a lavender-scented candle to help me relax and unwind before going to sleep. **

Alexa can be suitable for a nightstand clock as it has the ability to display the time and set alarms. Additionally, Alexa can provide weather updates, news, and other information that may be useful to have easily accessible on a nightstand. However, some people may prefer a traditional clock with a simple display for nighttime use, as the light emitted from Alexa's screen may be too bright for some individuals while trying to sleep. Ultimately, the suitability of Alexa as a nightstand clock depends on personal preferences and needs. **

On my nightstand, I have a small lamp for reading, a coaster for my water glass, a stack of books that I am currently reading, and a small dish where I keep my jewelry before going to bed. I also have a notepad and pen in case I need to jot down any thoughts or ideas before falling asleep. **

Having cell phones and iPads next to the nightstand can be harmful for a few reasons. The blue light emitted from these devices can disrupt your sleep by interfering with your body's production of melatonin. Additionally, having these devices within reach can tempt you to use them instead of winding down before bed, leading to decreased sleep quality. To promote better sleep hygiene, it is recommended to keep cell phones and iPads away from the nightstand and limit screen time before bedtime. **

I also keep some hand lotion and lip balm for nighttime skincare, and a small box of tissues. Additionally, I have a charging cable for my phone and a pair of earplugs in case I need them for a peaceful night's sleep. **
